Cramer’s Mad Money – How To Profit From Panic (5/8/12)

By SA Editor Miriam Metzinger:

Stocks discussed on the in-depth session of Jim Cramer’s Mad Money TV Program, Tuesday May 8.

Profit From Other People’s Panic: Rackspace Hosting (RAX), Fossil (FOSL), Bed, Bath and Beyond (BBBY), Ralph Lauren (RL), Vitamin Shoppe (VSI), Mako Surgical (MAKO), Amazon (AMZN)

Early in the day, the Dow did a nosedive of 198 points, only to close down just 76 points by the close. Chaos in Europe was to blame, and Cramer said what was the most disappointing thing about the decline was the mass panic selling that ensued. Anyone who bought RL at its lowest point made money, since it closed down only 5 points. Much of

Cramer’s Mad Money – The Best Quarter In This Earnings Season So Far (5/7/12)

By SA Editor Miriam Metzinger:

Stocks discussed on the in-depth session of Jim Cramer’s Mad Money TV Program, Monday May 7.

CEO Interview: Irwin Simon, Hain Celestial (HAIN)

Cramer declared that Hain Celestial’s (HAIN) quarter was the “best quarter in earnings season so far.” Last Thursday, the company reported a 4 cent earnings beat with revenues up 31.5%. Earnings growth accelerated from 7% to 9%. Even though Hain had run up 29% into the quarter from the beginning of the year, the stock did not drop after earnings, but rose an additional 6%. Hain’s shares have seen a 184% gain since Cramer got behind it two years ago, and a 23% rise since CEO Irwin Simon appeared on Mad Money in February. The stock is not cheap, with a multiple of 24 and a 10% long-term growth rate, but Cramer thinks the latter number is too conservative. In spite of the warm weather, soup sales

Stocks discussed on the in-depth session of Jim Cramer’s Mad Money TV Program, Wednesday April 25.

The Apple (AAPL) Bureau of Misinformation. Other stocks mentioned: Jabil Circuit (JBL), EMC (EMC), Verizon (VZ), AT&T (T)

There has not been a stock this earnings season that has been gotten wrong so dramatically as Apple (AAPL). Going into its earnings, the stock was down 11% on rumors that supply issues had plagued the company and it had not sold as many iPhones as expected. The earnings beat was much larger than those of the past, and the stock soared $ 49. The company reported that revenues rose 59% year over year and net income was up 94%. Apple trounced one analyst’s bearish prediction that Apple would sell only 28 million to 33 million iPhones, when the company sold 35 million. Analysts were basing their bearish predictions on news that Verizon (VZ) and AT&T (T)
